Happy 2008!

I will first say that I don’t feel the least bit guilty for going the entire month of December without updating. The time period from Thanksgiving through New Year’s is complete insanity. It probably is for most people. A basic rundown of what was going on in Sweet Genevieve Land from Thanksgiving to now:
-A two-week visit from my mother-in-law, during which much delicious home-cooking was eaten, and Dollywood was visited (very fun)
-Some minor job insanity (trying to finish a multitude of projects all at once so that I could take a week off for Christmas)
-A visit to my homeland in the wintery north (Michigan) for Christmas--saw the fam, saw some snow, celebrated our Savior’s birthday, etc.
-Caravaned home with my parents, and enjoyed a brief visit from them
-Laid around the apartment like zombies on New Year’s Eve, attempting to recover from our Christmas “vacation” (I actually stayed up until midnight watching old Fred Astair & Ginger Roger movies. Bobby was asleep by 11.)
And now here we are--January 2008. I remember time moving much more slowly as a child. Now it just seems to fly by.
On a completely frivolous note, Bobby dragged me into a shoe store yesterday, and I was forced to buy these:
Aren’t they cute? I figure I rarely shop for clothes or shoes (shopping--ugh! blech! ick!), and I had a little Christmas money, so I might as well get them. After all, a girl can’t go around barefoot when it’s 27 degrees out with a wind chill of 15 degrees. Mia quite likes them, too. She tromped around all morning in them. Unfortunately, this was the best picture I could get (she is very good at ignoring me when I have my camera in hand):
Anyhoo. Here are a couple layouts I’ve done of some of our Christmas vacation pics. I especially like the sledding page. It was Mia’s first time in the snow! We went to MI for Christmas last year, but they had no snow the entire time we were there!
