Hello, and welcome to another episode of “Turn All Your Hard-Earned Money Over to the Government!” Yay! Whoooo! Blah. So, Bobby is trying to muddle his way through one of those do-it-yourself tax programs, and keeps getting errors about forms we never received from a certain Bank of Evil… No idea. I do know we’ve had more fun watching paint dry than we’re having right now. Drying paint doesn’t tell you it wants more money than you already gave it. Actually...drying paint doesn’t ask for any money. I like drying paint.
Other than taxes, we had a nice day. Bobby took the morning off to spend a little extra time with his girls. Sometimes it just feels like we don’t get enough time together as a family, so this morning was a treat. We went out to breakfast and then went to the mall to let Mia play in the kids’ play area, since it was too wet and rainy to play outside. It was nice to just enjoy each other, and watch our happy girl run around for a while.
Speaking of the girl, I scrapped three layouts of her this weekend:
Oh, and I can’t remember if I posted about it here or not, but I finally got the gallery portion of the site coded and functioning. From now on you’ll be able to find all my layouts there, as well as layouts from my creative team using my latest digital scrapbooking designs. Fun stuff.

Yesterday, our good friends Alan and Debbie visited with us for half the day, and it was so great to see them again! It’s kind of funny that we met them in Panama City, but now we all live elsewhere. They moved to the Atlanta area, and happened to be in Gatlinburg over the weekend, so they stopped by to see us on their way back through. It was kind of a gloomy day--rained just a little--but we still had fun. Debbie and I dished about digital scrapbooking, which I totally miss. Not that I don’t jabber with all my Hello friends about digiscrapping, but it’s nice to have an in-person convo. And we had fun comparing camera notes, too, now that we both have dSLRs. We all drove downtown and walked around and took tons of pics, and just really enjoyed catching up with each other. Every time we’ve moved the hardest thing was always leaving the good friends we made behind, which just makes it such a blessing when opportunities like this come up. We have been blessed to have made such lasting friendships.
Anyways, here are some pics from yesterday. Can you believe Alan and Debbie actually wore their ‘Bama sweatshirts into Big Orange Country? The audacity!

Yes, we had flurries early last week, but despite that, it is looking a lot like spring around here lately! Gorgeous sunny days, temps in the mid 60s (Thursday it was even as high as 75!), daffodils springing up everywhere--it’s almost cliche. But we’ve been enjoying it. I’ve been opening up all the windows and letting the fresh air in. I love it, especially at night when everything is quiet. Last night it rained, and I am never happier than when I can lay quietly and listen to the rain drip from the eaves.
Thursday we took Mia to the playground before dinner, and had the best time pushing her on the swings and watching her climb the play set. I was snapping pictures, of course, and managed to get a few good ones, but this one I just love:
Definitely getting that one printed!

I am SO excited to announce the grand opening of the TracyJoy.com site redesign by yours truly.
Tracy was so much fun to work with, and I just love the way her site turned out! Makes it so much easier to shop (and drool over) her gorgeous bags! Check out Tracy’s site and bags, or if you’re interested in knowing exactly what I did to get Tracy’s site looking the way it does, you can drop by my portfolio and check out the new entries there!

Man. I never think about the passage of time so much as I do when I blog. Mostly because every time I go to write a new entry, I think, “Wow...it’s been a LONG time since my last post.” Sad, really. I would really love to be able to sit down and write posts at regular intervals. Like, once a week would be nice. But since my schedule revolves around a 2-year-old, a man, and work that helps support our family, I don’t really have time for any “regular extra-curriculars”. Maybe someday, when I can live a life of leisure.... Ha! Until then, I’m still alive and hopefully I’ll have time to do a real post soon. While you’re waiting (and please don’t hold your breath), here’s a fun layout I did of my goofy, yet adorable husband (created with my latest digital scrapbooking products):
