Hybrid Treat Project

Thursday, October 30, 2008

Hi!  It’s Jamie, long time no see.  We are just about through with yet another international move and it’s great to be crafting and scrapping again.  Today, I have a project that goes back to my stamping days, the popular “sour cream” container.  It took me awhile to figure out what was meant by this, but I was assured that in places other than California, people do get their sour cream in these cute, little containers.

To create the container, I use a quarter sheet of 8.5 x 11 inch paper, 4.25 x 5.5 inches.  In Photoshop, I was able to clip out four different digital papers onto one page and print.

Once you have your quarter sheet, you need a thin strip of double stick tape.  Place this on the short end of the paper, and connect the ends.  It’ll look like a toilet paper roll.

You now need a smaller piece of tape to seal an end.  Pinch close.

Fill with your treat or small gift and place a second piece of tape on the end, but in the opposite direction of the first.

To finish of the container, I like to crimp the ends.  This helps hold the seal better and keep the container from opening unexpectedly.

Hope you enjoy this quick, little project.
